Project AWARE Foundation has been around for 2 decades and is a growing movement of volunteer scuba divers whose passion is to save our oceans.
Anyone can join, anywhere and any age. Project AWARE is a non-profit organisation whose main focus is “Sharks in Peril” and “Marine Debris”.
Every month on Koh Phangan, Neil Richards, along with Phangan International Divers, Core Sea Conservation and Research, and other dive centres, organise a “Dive Against Debris” scuba dive. Non divers and locals help by cleaning the local beaches. And after the debris has been removed and recycled, there is always a sunset BBQ around the bonfire.
So when you visit us, ask when our next Beach Clean-up or Dive Against Debris take place, and come and join in. The more the merrier!
