You enjoyed your Divemaster Course so much that you want to go further. The PADI Assistant Instructor (AI) is the next step to becoming a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI). Once you are a PADI AI, you become a more employable Divemaster plus you act as an assistant to the Instructor on PADI courses. You will also have some experience with teaching under the indirect supervision of an Instructor which is great preparation if you want to go on to be an OWSI.
The PADI Assistant Instructor course at Scuba Futures, Koh Phangan, takes 4 days and is normally combined with the first part of the monthly IDC (Instructor Development Course) with Course Director Neil Richards. However, the AI can be taken as a completely separate, stand alone course.
